Temple Specialities

The following are the specialities of the Sri Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple:

  1. Temple is constructed entirely in stone mimicking the dravidian style architecture with the advantage that the temple will reverberate heavenly vibrations to the entire village.
  2. The temple is constructed on a fertile land - the temple land was a cow-shed for over half a century and is highly sacred
  3. The Hanuman deity faces south and to the right hand side of the main deity - Sri Lakshmi Janardhana Swamy of Bylahally.
  4. Sri Panchamukhi Hanuman is a special form of Hanuman with 5 faces, 10 weapons and 10 weapons. This form of Hanuman is very rare and is found only in very few parts of the country.
  5. 2 Acharyas - Srimad Ramanujar and Sri Vedanta Deshikar along with 2 alwars - Sri Nammalwar and Sri Kulashekaralwar don the prakaram of the temple complex.
  6. The temple follows the Pancharatra Agama popular among Sri Vaishnava temples.
  7. Every procedure in the construction of the temple was done strictly according to the prevailing rules and procedures.
