Sri Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple was inaugurated in Kyathanahally on 13th May 2011 during Karkataka Lagna in the august presence of Sri Sri Srimad Abhinva Vageesha Brahmatantra Parakala Swamy of the Parakala Mutt, Mysore and Sri Sri Sri Rangapriya Mahadeshikan of Ashtanga Yoga Mandir, Bangalore. The Sri Panchamukhi Hanuman is a 6.5 feet idol with 10 weapons representing 5 different forms:
- Hanuman
- Garuda
- Hayagreeva
- Narasimha
- Varaha
Sri Panchamukhi Hanuman is a special form with reference in Ramayana where Lord Hanuman shows his Vishwaroopa to Seetha to convince her that he is a messenger from Lord Rama.
The temple was constructed through consistent and co-ordinated efforts by the Sri Rama Seva Samithi in 4 years with a budget of Rs. 40 lakhs. The temple constructed according to all shastras and sampradayas and it follows the Pancharatra Agama popular among Sri Vaishnava Temples.
